Special Boat Cave 3.0.
The successor to the innovative Black Cat Boat Cave 2.0 sets itself apart with a completely new, extremely strong and robust support rib made from inflatable high-pressure hoses.
The hoses are of a cross-vault design with additional longitudinal reinforcement through to the tip of the bow, creating extreme stability when in motion and during strong wind and storms.
Meanwhile, the hydrophilic outer skin with a water column of 5,000 mm sits outside the hose structure while the condensation-proof inner tent is fixed to the inside of the hoses.
This maximises the space while maintaining the same tent dimensions.
Both longitudinal walls have new, fixed transparent windows, which can be darkened with an additional external covering in tent material.
Both transparent windows are protected by a porch reinforced with fibreglass rods.
The porch reliably transports rainwater outwards away from the window.
With its dimensions of 3.4 m in length and an average width of 2 m, the Boat Cave 3.0 can be used on almost all common boat types while the various individual attachment points in the form of D-rings ensure flexible and secure attachment to the wall of the boat.
The optimal usable width is 200 cm.
The entrance door with central opening has been upgraded with a panic lock to allow a quick exit from the tent in an emergency situation.
The proven Velcro pockets are once again stitched inside the full-length door to receive optional lead weights in order to minimise flapping of the door.
Large transparent windows in the entrance area allow a clear view of the rod tips.
The transparent windows can be replaced with the underlying mosquito net windows depending on the weather conditions.
The bow door has been fitted with an all-round Velcro strip for better rainproofing in the front area.
This door also includes a large transparent window that can be darkened from the outside.
The bow area is also optimally protected by a reinforced porch, allowing a free view of the outside.
The proven porch in the stern area has been upgraded with a fibreglass rod, similarly to the windows, to adapt to the inflatable construction and, when not in use, can be rolled up and affixed to the main tent using Velcro straps.
